Three solo arias should be submitted for selection. A chorus will be required to act in two of the fully-staged opera scenes. Please state if you are interested in being included in these. Suitable clothing must be worn at all times, and soft shoes are essential. Those singers not known to the tutors who would like to be considered for named roles in the fully-staged scenes should attend an audition at Burgess Hill on Sunday April 15^th. Some ensembles, referred to as Non-staged Opera scenes, will be selected after the Audition Day, and may be performed in concert if they are completely from memory by every singer. The staged and semi-staged scenes are likely to be taken from: Falstaff (Verdi), Carmen (Bizet), La Boheme (Puccini), Don Giovanni (Mozart), Sir John in love (Holst), Mavra (Stravinsky), L’Enfant et les Sortileges (Ravel), Il viaggio a Reims (Rossini) amongst others.
