Helpers and TROGS

The ‘helpers’ will take phone calls for students, and then post messages on the notice board for them. They are in charge of putting up the daily Practice Room chart, and are the first people to consult if you have health issues. They coordinate the First-Aiders, know where the course Doctor is, lock and unlock rooms, do photocopying (at a small charge), print the Programmes for the end-of-course concerts, and sell AIMS pencils and postcards – amongst a million other duties.

There is a second-hand music stall – so bring something along to sell: all proceeds go towards the Bursary Fund. One whole Bursary was raised this way in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

'TROGS'

The ‘TROGS’ (Thoroughly Reliable Odd-job Guy/Girl) will be attached to specific courses, particularly those in the Auditorium and Gym , to help them go smoothly & iron out any hiccups. They will take your meal tickets at meal times (no entry without one!), move chairs frequently & supervise the car parking.

Be nice to the ‘helpers’ & ‘TROGS’ – they are doing it for the love of it....
