Ameral Gunson began a successful and varied solo career throughout the UK & Europe after 4 years in the BBC Singers. She includes many operatic roles in her repertoire, and has appeared at Covent Garden, Alter Oper Frankfurt, Turin, Helsinki & Amsterdam opera houses; and the Almeida Theatre, London. She has been a regular broadcaster for the BBC, singing in many Proms, including the popular "Last Night" in 1985. Her recordings include the Grammy awarded /Peter Grimes for Chandos Records. She now teaches at GSMD & Trinity College of Music, gives regular masterclasses throughout Europe, and lectures at Birkbeck College.
