John Evans began his musical training under the watchful eye of his father, the bass-baritone Ivor Evans. He later studied with Rudolf Piernay at the GSMD. Oratorio performances have included Elijah, Christmas Oratorio, Carmina Burana, Messiah, Monteverdi Vespers & Brahms Requiem. On stage he has performed Tarquinius /Rape of Lucretia], Escamillo /Carmen], Lothario /Mignon], Onegin, Count, Billy Budd, Sid, Guglielmo, Ramiro /L’Heure Espagnole] & Dandini /Cenerentola] with Garden Opera. He now teaches at GSMD.
