Robert was Artistic Director and Chorus Master of London's famous Philharmonia Chorus from 1988 - 2007. He also has a busy freelance career conducting opera and concerts at home and abroad. He takes choral workshops throughout the country where the emphasis lies on healthy vocal techniques to provide a quality sound. He is much sought after as a voice teacher and coach, and is a Professor of Singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as well as a guest vocal coach for the National Opera Studio.
